Vector image conversion

Automatic tracing produces a file with thousands of anchor points, wobbling edges and colours that nearly match. It looks passable on screen and falls apart the moment someone needs to edit it or print it large.

Family portrait redrawn as clean vector artwork

What this service covers

We redraw raster images as vector artwork by hand. The result is a file built the way a designer would have built it originally: sensible paths, named layers, flat editable colour and geometry that is actually straight where it should be.

Typical sources are old logos with no surviving master file, scanned line art, technical drawings, plates from printed books, and artwork that only exists as a low-resolution JPEG someone found in an email.

How the work runs

01

Source review

We check what you have and confirm what is achievable from it before quoting.

02

Sample conversion

One image converted first so you can approve the standard.

03

Production redraw

The set is redrawn by hand, layered and named to an agreed convention.

04

Quality check

Every file is overlaid against the original and checked for drift before delivery.

What you get out of it

Genuinely editable files

Paths a designer can work with, not an auto-trace mess.

Scales without limit

The same file works on a business card and on a building wrap.

Colour accuracy

Spot values matched and documented rather than eyeballed.

Print-ready output

Files that pass preflight at the printer, first time.

Before you brief us

Anything not answered here, ask directly and you will get a straight answer.

Ask a question

Lower than you might expect. Because we redraw rather than trace, a small or blurry source can still yield a clean vector, as long as the shapes are readable. We will tell you before starting if it is not.

A single logo is usually one working day. Larger batches are scheduled and delivered in groups, typically twenty to fifty images per week depending on complexity.

Yes, where you can tell us the values. Where you cannot, we suggest the closest match from the artwork and flag it for your approval rather than assuming.

AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and DXF, plus PNG previews. Tell us the destination and we will supply what it needs.
