Fantasy book cover design with hand-lettered title

Book cover design services

If you are comparing cover design suppliers, the differences that matter are rarely visual. They are what is inside the scope, how many revisions you actually get, which files arrive at the end, and who owns the artwork afterwards.

What this service covers

This page sets out how our cover service is packaged, so you can weigh it against other quotes without guessing. Every project is quoted as a fixed price against a written scope before any work begins.

Scope changes are quoted separately rather than absorbed quietly into the schedule. That keeps the deadline honest and stops a project drifting into an unbudgeted fourth round of revisions.

Included in every project

Anything outside this list is quoted separately rather than assumed.

Single title package

One cover, full wrap, two concept rounds and one refinement round, with print and ebook files.

Series package

A cover system designed once and applied across a list, with a style sheet so later titles stay consistent.

Cover refresh

A reissue or repositioning of an existing title, keeping recognisable elements while updating the treatment.

Ebook-only package

Front cover artwork and retailer crops for titles that will not be printed.

Typesetting add-on

Interior layout quoted alongside the cover when you need the whole book handled in one place.

Rush handling

Compressed schedules where studio capacity allows, quoted transparently rather than promised and missed.

Why clients commission this work

Fixed quotes, not hourly drift

You know the cost before the first sketch, and what would change it.

Rounds stated up front

Revision counts appear in the quote so nobody is negotiating mid-project.

One point of contact

The same person handles the brief, the feedback and the handover.

Files that work first time

Printers reject fewer files when bleed, spine and colour are set correctly at the start.

From brief to final files

Each stage has a clear approval point, so nothing large gets built on an assumption.

  1. Enquiry

Send trim size, page count, genre and deadline. A scope and fixed quote come back within one working day.

  2. Agreement

Scope, rounds, schedule and payment terms are confirmed in writing before the studio starts.

  3. Design rounds

Concepts, then development, with feedback collected in one place at each stage.

  4. Handover

Print, ebook and promotional files, plus layered sources and a short usage note.

Before you brief us

Anything not answered here, ask directly and you will get a straight answer.

Ask a question

By scope, not by hour. Trim size, page count, whether original illustration is needed, and the number of formats you need all affect the figure. A brief description is enough for an accurate quote.

It gets quoted as a small addition rather than refused. The point of stating rounds up front is that additions are visible and priced, not silently absorbed.

We do not price-match, but we will tell you plainly where a cheaper quote is likely to exclude something you will need later, such as print-ready output or source files.

No royalties. A design credit on the copyright page is welcome but never required.
