Storyboard illustrations

Storyboards exist to find problems before they get expensive. A shot that does not cut, a location that cannot hold the camera move, a sequence that runs twenty seconds long — all cheaper to discover on paper.

What this service covers

We draw storyboards for commercials, film and television, animation, explainer video and corporate production, from rough thumbnails through to presentation boards for client approval.

Speed matters here more than polish. Preproduction boards need to arrive while decisions are still being made, so we work at whatever level of finish the stage actually requires.

Before you brief us

Anything not answered here, ask directly and you will get a straight answer.

Ask a question

A thirty-second commercial at thumbnail level is often one to two days. Presentation-finish boards take longer; tell us the deadline and we will tell you honestly what fits.

Usually greyscale for internal boards, colour for client presentation and for anything where colour carries a story point. Colour costs more and is not always worth it.

Yes, from a treatment or a conversation. Expect more revision, since boards drawn against a moving script move with it.

We supply numbered, timed frames ready for assembly. The edit itself is usually handled by your post team.
